Welcome to Heliopolis Community Church where the body of Christ from around the world comes together to worship our living Savior. Whether you are just vacationing in Egypt or moving here to stay, we invite you to come to worship with us.
HCC is an international and interdenominational church. On any given Friday there may be 20 to 25 different nationalities represented in our service. We also have a very wide range of denominational backgrounds and our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable as they come into His presence to worship. Every time we meet, it reminds us of Revelation 7:9 which says that there were people… “from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.” We truly lay aside all our differences and focus on what we have in common, the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Being in the crossroads of the Middle East, we are constantly welcoming newcomers, and saying good-bye to others. We are currently in the interim between pastors but continue with our worship service at 9am on Friday mornings.
We also have home groups which meet at various times during the week in different homes.
We trust that your time here in Egypt will be a blessing and a challenge to each of you.
The HCC Leadership Team
Heliopolis Community Church is in the interim between lead pastors. As an expatriate church, our pastors reflect the “ebb and flow” those who come and go.
One of the constant things about HCC is the constant changes. It’s a good reminder that this earth is not our permanent home: we are strangers and pilgrims here (Hebrews 11:13).
The other, more important constant, is that our Good Shepherd, Jesus, is never changing. He promised to always be with us – always. And He gives good gifts so, while we wait in anticipation for the gift of our new pastoral couple, we continue to trust and seek Him.
As a community church, we are blessed with many Bible based preachers, teachers and worship leaders. And the many ministries at HCC are continuing as our weekly worship services reflect.
All who are seeking to worship the Lord Jesus as their Savior (in the English language) are welcome to join us.
He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young…
Welcome to HCC.
This is the 3rd Friday of observing Advent. We observe the tradition of lighting candles on the Advent Wreath. The third candle on the Advent wreath is called the Shepherds’ candle. It remembers the first in a long line of people who joyfully shared the good news of the Savior’s birth. With joy may we acknowledge God’s care and love for us and joyfully share the good news with those around us.
Our Advent message series is entitled “God’s Christmas messages to you.” This week’s message is, “God says, ‘This will test your faith’ ”
After the worship time, we can continue our fellowship over a free cup of coffee or tea. We usually have visitors or newcomers, and this is a good opportunity to meet them.
