Welcome to Heliopolis Community Church where the body of Christ from around the world comes together to worship our living Savior. Whether you are just vacationing in Egypt or moving here to stay, we invite you to come to worship with us.
HCC is an international and interdenominational church. On any given Friday there may be 20 to 25 different nationalities represented in our service. We also have a very wide range of denominational backgrounds and our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable as they come into His presence to worship. Every time we meet, it reminds us of Revelation 7:9 which says that there were people… “from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.” We truly lay aside all our differences and focus on what we have in common, the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Being in the crossroads of the Middle East, we are constantly welcoming newcomers, and saying good-bye to others. Our worship service starts at 9am on Friday mornings. (Note that during these times of COVID, we are observing the health protocols as described by the government along with limited capacity.)
We also have home groups which meet at various times during the week in different homes.
We trust that your time here in Egypt will be a blessing and a challenge to each of you.
The HCC Leadership Team
Heliopolis Community Church is thanking God for providing the good gift of a new pastoral couple, Pastor Mark and Diane Henzler. We look forward to them moving to Egypt in the near future as our new lead pastor.
Even though things are constantly changing around us, we are so thankful that our Good Shepherd, Jesus, is never changing. He promised to always be with us – always.
As a community church, we are blessed with many Bible based preachers, teachers and worship leaders. And the many ministries at HCC are continuing as our weekly worship services reflect.
All who are seeking to worship the Lord Jesus as their Savior (in the English language) are welcome. We are in the transitional phase of meeting with some in-person at St. Michael’s Church and others with Zoom. As we follow the guidelines laid out by the Egyptian Government, we hope to be able to progress with more people meeting together.
Children’s Christian Education:
- Children’s church has resumed with in-person teaching for per-K through 6th grade children. With the proper protocol in place, they will be able to meet together to learn more about our Savior Jesus.
- The nursery room is open, although there is no staff for this. If parents would like, they can take their child there.
- HCC is observing the published guidelines to limit exposure to the covid-19 virus as small groups are meeting in-person. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
