HCC Family Retreat: April 24 – 27

Each year, HCC has been blessed with a retreat at a center on the Mediterranean Sea. We choose a holiday in the spring when we can enjoy 3 nights away from the busy, busy city of Cairo. This is a family retreat with a special program for the nursery age kids, and also the school age kids. This year, the kids grade 1 and up will be learning about, “Experiencing God through the Five Senses.”

The adults (and youth) will be blessed with a visiting speaker, Rev. Ken Chupp from Warsaw Missionary Church in Warsaw, Indiana. He is planning to concentrate on what we can benefit by carefully considering the Scripture, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

In addition, there will be lots of time for praise and worship with 2 afternoon sessions planned to be lead by the youth. We also have the opportunity for sports, swimming, use of a track, and lots of nooks and spots for quiet conversation, personal time and meditation.

We rejoice that we will be able to take this time together to build relationship with our HOLY GOD and with each other in this way.

All-night prayer time May 16 – 17

The youth group (4th Dimension) have participated in and been blessed with all-night prayer times, but this will the first time that all of HCC will be offered this type of prayer in a very long time. So we are happy and excited at the prospect of a prolonged time of prayer – both corporate and the individual prayers – and worship and praise. There will be enough time to “wait on the Lord,” and practice silence or other spiritual disciplines in conjunction with prayers.

Please check the bulletin for more details. All are welcome.

Worship Evening from 7 – 8:30pm

Never been to an HCC Worship Evening? You are most welcome as we gather to focus on praise, worship, prayer, reading the Word and meditating on the GOOD NEWS that Jesus brought to us. This time has both lively worship, and quiet times of prayer and reflection. Bring your friends.

Welcome Potluck (Covered Dish Meal) starting at 6pm

This is a very exciting time at HCC. Every year we welcome the newcomers who have been arriving over the past few months – and also welcome back those who have traveled for the summer. We have several new families and folks to get to know. At our Welcome Potluck, there is plenty of time to fellowship, meet and get acquainted with new folks enjoy those we have been missing and want to have a nice chat with.

Please bring some of you favorite foods to share. We will meet in the garden and enjoy the cool of the evening. All are, well….. WELCOME!
